![]() ![]() Ultimately I reverted to 1006.2, the image is much better in HDR. If anyone else is experiencing this I encourage them to try it for themselves. So I believe 1006.2 increases the response time, a setting that is unavailable with VRR enabled, and that this glitching artifact is related to that. The issue was drastically reduced, I saw it maybe 2x out of an hour play session whereas before it was literally every 5 minutes, sometimes every lap (it's not random, there is some kind of color combination that induces it because it will even do it around the same place on the track).īut the issue now was that there was noticeably more black smearing. So I tried that last night (tip: you may need to rename the firmware to something higher than 1006.2 otherwise the monitor will tell you that you can't update to a later firmware). I heard on here that someone has some success reverting to 1005.4 with this issue. I compared Doom Eternal to F1 2019 because both games my avg FPS is 125-150 (overclocked 2080 Ti, almost as fast as a 3080, 16,930 Timespy GPU) and both games are HDR so I wanted to rule that out. I can play Doom Eternal in HDR and it literally never does it / I've yet to see it. F1 2019 in HDR will induce the issue like every 5-10 minutes. At first I thought it was random, but now I know that it's certain games that will aggravate it. I have an issue now where a roughly 1x8" artifact / glitch strip will appear for a split second slightly center left of the screen. I just got mine maybe 2.5 weeks ago and I updated from 1005.4 to 1006.2 on day one before even using it, it was the first thing I did. Well I'd like to share my experience with the firmwares.
